Your ageing buckets
Reading your ageing profile
An aged receivables (or "ageing") report groups what you're owed by how overdue it is. The further right the money sits, the harder it is to collect — recovery rates fall sharply once an account passes 90 days. This analyser estimates your weighted average age and an indicative recoverable figure by applying a lower collection probability to each older bucket.
What to do with it
- Watch the weighted average age over time — it's a cleaner signal than total AR alone.
- Treat the 90+ bucket as urgent: it rarely recovers without escalation.
- Use a consistent reminder cadence so accounts don't drift right in the first place.
The recovery probabilities used here are illustrative averages, not a prediction for any specific account. Actual recoverability depends on the debtor, documentation and age. This is general information, not financial advice.
The 90+ column won't fix itself.
Refer your aged accounts to Merion and recover on a commission-only basis — no recovery, no fee — while they're still collectable.
